Nestled between mountains, ridges and valleys is where Spring Township is located. You can see the beautiful landscaping of mountains and ridges almost in every direction you see. Spring Township’s location is bounded on the North by Saville & Centre Townships, on the East by Centre & Carroll Townships, on the South Cumberland County and on the West by Tyrone Township.
Spring Township is primarily agriculture. Even though we are a growing community we still value our roots. The West Perry School District Administrative Office, High School & Middle School are located in Elliottsburg. In Spring Township we own Lynn Dum Memorial Park located in Elliottsburg. This park offers play grounds, pickle ball courts, picnicking facilities and in season Local Farmer’s Market. The Perry County Bicentennial Plaza was placed at the park during the Perry County Bicentennial. There are informative markers showing the history of Perry County. Near future plans include soccer fields.
Although we are not far from the city, we offer a country setting atmosphere. No big industries. Small and local businesses which are many home based. We continue sharing the roads with our friends with horse/buggies and farmer’s using have machinery.
